Welcome to Chestnut Farms. We are located in beautiful central Minnesota, approximately 45 minutes northwest of Minneapolis. Chestnut Farms is committed to the promotion of Missouri Fox Trotters in the upper Midwest. Our primary goal is to raise, train, and provide extraordinary horses for sale.

Each year, Chestnut Farms searches out the finest young prospects available. Whether we breed them, or we buy them from other reputable breeders, we spend several years educating the youngsters in the skills needed to be a great horse. We believe in compassionate training, allowing every horse to achieve their best "natural gait", while maintaining a pleasant and co-operative attitude.

All of our horses are on a regular schedule for worming, immunizations, veterinarian and farrier visits. Our horses live outside in pastures with other horses as much as possible. However, our facility does allow for stabling when weather or other conditions dictate.

In addition to exceptional horses for sale, we also offer training for gaited and non-gaited horses, at all ages and abilities.

Lessons are available to help riders increase their knowledge, communication skills, and confidence.
